Karsan Receives the 2020 AIEA Golden Exports Award!
A provider of modern urban mass transport solutions, Karsan was awarded for its contributions to the exports of the Turkish automotive industry. As part of the awards granted by Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters Association (AIEA) to the AIEA member companies which contributed to the exports championship of the automotive industry in 2020, the Golden Exports Award went to Karsan. Among the most exporting companies in 2020, Karsan was represented in the event by CEO Okan Baş, who received the award from AIEA Executive Board Member Cenk Uğur Sermet. Baş then commented "2020 was a year when production and exports went through remissions. But we focused our efforts on exporting high-tech electric vehicles and internal-combustion vehicles, while at the same time catering to the domestic demand. In this period, our electric product was in continuous service in many locations across Europe, and on the other hand, our main focus is on electric vehicles and we have accelerated our studies on our serial production Level-4 autonomous vehicle, which itself is a first in Europe and America. We continue to take our exports further and increase our operating profits with the distribution network in Europe, followed by different countries, and our investments in many profitable areas. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Automotive Industry Exporters Association, which has made great contributions to the automotive industry."
Offering transportation solutions that meet today’s mobility needs in its factory located in Bursa, the domestic manufacturer Karsan continues to crown its success in manufacturing and sales with new awards. Karsan's last award has been the exports achievement award, which was granted by the Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters Association (AIEA) as part of its awards to AIEA-member companies which contributed to the industry's export championship in 2020 for the 15th consecutive year with their devoted works. In this direction, Karsan, which took the 29th place among the automotive companies with the most exports in 2020 despite the unique conditions of the ongoing pandemic, and with outstanding success, was granted the "Gold Exports Award".
