Karsan to Expand its 44-Vehicle e-ATA Fleet in Timişoara with 30 New Vehicles!
Karsan, one of the world's most visionary brands in next-generation public transportation, has signed a new agreement in Romania. Under the agreement, worth approximately €17 million, Karsan will deliver 30 10-meter e-ATA vehicles to Timişoara and will also strengthen the city's electric transportation infrastructure by installing 45 charging stations. Karsan CEO Okan Baş, who stated that they aim to deliver the new vehicles in 2026, said, "Timişoara began its electric transformation journey with Karsan; now it has chosen Karsan again for this transformation journey. This is the strongest indicator of the city administration's confidence in our products and the quality of service we offer. With 30 new 10-meter e-ATA buses, we are taking the transformation in Timişoara one step further; we continue to contribute to Romania's sustainable transportation goals. Today, more than 450 electric Karsan vehicles serving throughout Romania demonstrate the scale of this success."
With its vision of being “One Step Ahead in the Future of Mobility,” Karsan, which plays a pioneering role in the transformation of public transportation worldwide, continues to grow in its main target markets. Karsan, which is renewing public transportation worldwide with new generation technologies from the US to Japan, has signed a new agreement worth approximately 17 million euros in Timişoara, Romania. With this new contract, Karsan will contribute to Romania's electric transportation infrastructure by delivering 30 new 10-meter e-ATA buses by 2026, as well as installing 30 slow and 15 fast pantograph charging stations.
450 electric Karsan vehicles are in service in Romania!
