Achieving yet another success in Bari, Italy, one of its main target markets, Karsan will deliver 42 e-ATA 18-meter articulated buses in June 2026 through its Italian dealer KMobility. The vehicles will enter service in summer 2026!
Karsan is consolidating its role as a pioneer in the electric public transport transformation in Italy with new agreements. As part of the new Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project to be implemented by the municipality of Bari in Italy, Karsan will deliver the first buses for the project in 2026, having won the tender.
Highlighting Karsan's success in Italy's growing zero-emission public transportation market, Karsan CEO Okan Baş said, "Our vehicles continue to serve in more than 40 cities in Italy. The satisfaction with our vehicles, which have been serving the Municipality of Bari since 2023, paves the way for future projects for us. With this new tender we have won, 42 18-meter Karsan e-ATA vehicles will be delivered to the Municipality of Bari next June. It is also important that these vehicles will be the first to be used in the municipality's new Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project in the summer of 2026."
Adding that Karsan's vision of “A Step Ahead in the Future of Mobility” continues to grow steadily in our target markets thanks to its strong products and innovative solutions, Okan Baş said, "Italy is one of the priority markets where we are very strong and aim to grow further, and it is of strategic importance in Karsan's growth journey in Europe. The trust in our brand and our best-in-class models in this market also strengthens our determination as a European brand and our motivation to go further on a global scale every day.
In 2018, we further strengthened our operations and customer relationships by establishing Karsan Europe in Italy. We evaluate every piece of feedback we receive to further improve our product and service quality. This approach brings us not only operational success, but also high customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Our strong and long-standing partnership with our local dealer, Kmobility, has also been a key part of our success on this journey. Our extensive field presence in Italy and our coordinated efforts with Kmobility have positioned Karsan as a reliable partner in the country's public transportation transformation," he said.
