At the fair, the brand celebrated the world premiere of the autonomous version of its successful e-JEST model, while also launching the e-ATA Hydrogen developed in collaboration with Toyota and unveiling Karsan AI, the new reflection of its future vision. Highlighting that the company’s second autonomous model, the Autonomous e-JEST, will soon become the rising star for cities in America and Europe transitioning to next-generation technology, Karsan CEO Okan Baş said: “We call the JEST a game changer—and it truly is. Under the theme “Three Launches, One Vision”, Karsan unveiled the world premiere of the Autonomous e-JEST, while also launching the e-ATA Hydrogen, developed with Toyota, and introducing Karsan AI (Autonomous Intelligence)—the next step in its autonomous journey.
A New Step in Electric Evolution: Next-Generation Batteries
Karsan continues its “Electric Evolution” journey not only with new models but also with innovations that advance its existing electric product range. Thanks to the new-generation batteries introduced at Busworld 2025, Karsan’s entire electric vehicle family now offers longer ranges, higher energy capacity, and greater value.
With the new battery technology, the urban mobility pioneer e-JEST delivers a range of up to 260 km with a 105 kWh capacity, while the segment-defining e-ATAK reaches 370 km with its 264 kWh battery. In Karsan’s born-electric e-ATA family, the bar is set even higher: the 10m and 12m e-ATA models provide up to 530 km of range with 528 kWh, while the 18m e-ATA achieves over 550 km with its powerful 800 kWh battery, marking the highest range in its class.
With these updates, Karsan raises the bar not only in individual models but across its entire portfolio, once again strongly affirming its vision of being “One Step Ahead in the Future of Mobility.”
Karsan e-JEST: Game Changer!
Continuing to break new ground with its innovative technologies, Karsan has equipped Europe’s most preferred electric minibus of the last 5 years, the e-JEST, with autonomous capabilities. Arriving at Busworld 2025 with four vehicles, Karsan also recently celebrated the milestone of the 10,000th JEST rolling off the production line. First produced in 2013, the JEST family continues to be manufactured at Karsan’s Hasanağa plant in Bursa with the latest technologies. Commenting on the fair, CEO Okan Baş said: “We are very well prepared for Busworld 2025. Our second autonomous model, the Autonomous e-JEST, will be the new favourite of European cities looking to adopt next-generation technology in electric minibuses. We call the JEST a game changer—and it really is. With the Autonomous e-JEST, the family now has an autonomous version. This is not a concept vehicle, but a fully operational product ready for daily public transport. With its compact design, it is the ideal solution for historic city centres and narrow streets.” With 19-passenger capacity, a 135 kW BMW-powered motor, a 105 kWh battery, and a range of up to 260 km, the model stands out. Fast-charging in just 1 hour 20 minutes, it offers car-like comfort thanks to its independent suspension system. A package of 23 sensors, including LiDAR, radar, GNSS, and cameras, ensures 360-degree scanning for safe driving.

In addition to the Autonomous e-JEST, Karsan held two other major launches at Busworld 2025. The first was the e-ATA Hydrogen, developed in partnership with Toyota. Designed for zero-emission, long-range transportation, this hydrogen model represents a key milestone in Karsan’s vision to expand clean energy solutions. The 12-metre e-ATA Hydrogen offers 250 kW engine power, 22,000 Nm torque, 88-passenger capacity, and a range of up to 600 km, setting a new benchmark in its class. Thanks to Toyota’s proven fuel cell technology, the e-ATA Hydrogen combines sustainability with reliability. The second launch was Karsan AI (Autonomous Intelligence), the new embodiment of the brand’s vision.
