the recent year and which added to its success story with orders from different continents, according to Karsan CEO Okan Baş who added: “At Karsan, we first launched the Jest Electric in November 2018 as a result of our strategic collaboration with BMW, a leading automobile brand in electric vehicle technologies, and then this year we started the mass production of Atak Electric prototype of which was developed by our R&D team to respond to the needs of the 8-meter electric vehicle segment. Orders began as Atak took to the stage!

Okan Baş said that Jest Electric paved the way for demands from foreign markets for Atak Electric and continued: “We enjoy the excitement and the justified pride of presenting Atak Electric, which we developed and produced in a short span of time, on stage before the world for the first time at an international fair like Busworld following its introduction in the BMW Driving Academy in Munich at the end of last June. With a range of 300 km, Atak Electric beat its competitors by a long way and attracted a great deal of attention from several European countries including France, Romania, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Germany, and Italy. The first order for Atak Electric came from a company that carries out the first electric-driven public transportation operations in Paris, and we are anticipating a fresh set of orders. The orders by this company, which also purchased Jest Electric vehicles in the past, showed the company’s satisfaction with Karsan’s vehicles and services. Also for Atak Electric, the leading inner-city public transportation companies in France stated that they would be happy to work with us in all their potential future projects. After Busworld Europe, we will continue with a roadshow event to display our vehicle all over Europe so as to ensure that people are closely familiar with the vehicle.”
