QUANTRON AG BECOMES KARSAN'S GERMAN BUSINESS PARTNER!
Karsan signed a dealership agreement with Quantron AG, a subsidiary of Haller, one of the country's well-established companies, to expand its sales and service network in Germany. In line with this agreement, Karsan will increase its sales, service network and spare parts availability and aims to grow in Germany, the leading country in Europe with a bus market size of 7000. Muzaffer Arpacıoğlu, Deputy General Manager for Commercial Affairs at Karsan, said "The service penetration and spare parts availability are very important for the German customer. Thanks to our agreement with Quantron AG, which has over 200 service points throughout Germany, we will respond to customer expectations substantially".
Offering its 100% electric public transportation vehicles Jest Electric and Atak Electric to the global markets as part of its cooperation with the German automotive giant BMW, Karsan continues to develop cooperation in this field as well. Recently, Karsan signed a dealership agreement with Quantron AG, a subsidiary of Haller, one of the country's well-established companies, to expand its sales and service network in Germany. Quantron AG, Karsan's dealer in Germany, has over 200 service points throughout the country. In line with this agreement, Karsan will increase its sales, service network and spare parts availability and aims to grow with its electric vehicles in Germany, the leading country in Europe with a bus market size of 7000.
3 more Jest Electric will be exported to Germany
Underlining that service penetration and spare parts availability are very important for the German customer, Muzaffer Arpacıoğlu, Deputy General Manager for Commercial Affairs at Karsan, said "We will respond to customer expectation in this field with our dealership agreement with Quantron AG. On the other hand, we keep exporting 100% electric Jest Electric and Atak Electric, which we have introduced to the market as part of our cooperation with BMW. We are especially the first choice of the cities which pay attention to carbon emission and have an environment-friendly vision. Accordingly, we will export 3 more Jest Electric to Germany in December.
Also, we will develop our dealership relations that are similar to Quantron AG in order to increase our sales in Europe".
Quantron AG, a subsidiary of Haller, which started to perform the sales and service of Karsan's commercial vehicle models Jest Electric and Atak Electric as from November, operates in the field of emission-free road transportation just like Karsan. In addition to electric vehicles it offers for a more efficient economy and greener transport, the company also performs the conversion of diesel engines into electric vehicles. Having a widespread service network throughout Europe, Quantron AG has a total of 220 service points in Germany. Quantron AG also performs innovative activities on different commercial vehicles ranging from municipality service vehicles to airport transport buses.
Karsan, the Turkish pioneer in automotive!
With 53 years of experience in the Turkish automotive history, Karsan has been manufacturing its own vehicles as well as parts for the world’s prominent brands in the commercial vehicles industry. The company has been engaged in commercial vehicles production since 1981, and its factory in Hasanağa, Bursa has the capacity to manufacture up to 18,200 vehicles a year on a single shift. The Hasanağa factory is a flexible plant which can manufacture many type of vehicles from passenger cars and heavy trucks to minivans and buses. It is located 30 km from the Bursa city center and has been established on a totalarea of 207,000 sqm, 91,000 sqm of which is closed space.
Karsan has been the only independent multi-brand vehicle manufacturer in Turkey for 53 years and the next phase for the company, powered and enabled by its business partners and licensers, is to develop bespoke versions of new and existing vehicles in order to extend its presence to all segments of cargo and passenger transportation. Working to develop innovative products and services “from the idea to the market” in the public transportation segment, Karsan primarily aims to strengthen its Main Manufacturer/OEM business line. Karsan manages its whole automotive value chain from R&D and manufacturing to marketing, sales, and after-sales activities.
Currently the company manufactures the new H350 light commercial vehicles for Hyundai Motor Company (HMC), 10-12-18m buses for Menarinibus and its own Jest, Atak and Star models. They also produce full electric Jest Electric and Atak Electric models in cooperation with the world giant BMW. Besides vehicle manufacturing, Karsan also provides a range of industrial services in its Organized Industrial Zone factory.
