At the heart of the global energy transition and modern urban public transport systems, the e-ATA series developed by Karsan provides a technological answer to the most complex mobility needs of municipalities. With its 10, 12, and 18-meter versions offering varying passenger capacities and operational flexibility, the e-ATA family maximizes efficiency across diverse urban landscapes. Because the demographic structure and route density of cities vary, each route has its own unique capacity requirements. Designed with the vision of being "One Step Ahead in the Future of Mobility," these vehicles transform sustainability from a mere goal into an integral part of daily transit practice.
Cities are growing rapidly. Transport networks are becoming more complex. Eco-friendly solutions are now a necessity. The Karsan e-ATA series leads this transformation. Each model caters to a different operational need.
e-ATA 10: The Agile Solution for Dense City Corridors
Designed to provide operational flexibility in historic city centers with narrow streets and on routes requiring high maneuverability, the e-ATA 10 creates an agile service model without compromising efficiency. Despite its compact 10-meter structure, it offers a seat capacity of 33 to handle urban demand effectively. The vehicle reaches a maximum speed of 80 km/h. Equipped with high-voltage LFP batteries offering a capacity of up to 399 kWh, the e-ATA 10 delivers a reliable range of 350 km under realistic conditions. Furthermore, its charging time is highly efficient, requiring up to 2 hours and 45 minutes with a Plug-in DC Charger. Pantograph charging is also available as an option for rapid energy top-ups.
Positioned as a more agile and efficient alternative to 12 and 18-meter buses, it is perfectly suited for inner-city operations. Its optimized energy consumption ensures cost-effective performance, while its design makes it ideal for short-distance urban routes. Delivering a smooth and comfortable journey, it offers the perfect balance between capacity and efficiency.
e-ATA 12: The Standard Bearer of Modern Public Transit
Optimized to form the backbone of urban main arteries and medium-to-high density routes, the e-ATA 12 stands out as a flagship offering the most balanced solution for public transit operators. This 12-meter model prioritizes passenger comfort with its 41-seat capacity. Designed for heavy-duty daily operations, the e-ATA 12 features LFP battery packs up to 528 kWh. This robust energy storage translates to an impressive range of 500 km. It maintains a top speed of 80 km/h. When utilizing a Plug-in DC Charger, the maximum battery capacity can be replenished in up to 3 hours and 30 minutes, alongside an optional pantograph system.
Built for high operational efficiency, it delivers a reliable solution for busy main lines. Its long-lasting battery ensures consistent performance over time, while reduced maintenance needs help keep operating costs under control. The ergonomically designed driver cabin enhances comfort, focus, and overall driving ease.
e-ATA 18: Excellence for High-Capacity Public Transport
Developed to ease the transport burden in the busiest corridors of metropolises and on main axes with high passenger demand, the articulated e-ATA 18 is a powerhouse of comfort and volume. It features a 53-seat capacity to reduce wait times at stops and increase voyage efficiency. To support this massive structure, the e-ATA 18 utilizes LFP batteries with a capacity of up to 662 kWh. This configuration provides a range of 450 km. The vehicle can reach a maximum speed of 80 km/h. Charging is completed in up to 4 hours and 20 minutes via a Plug-in DC Charger, with pantograph technology offered as an optional charging type.
With maximum passenger capacity, it’s built to handle peak-hour demand with ease. Its articulated design brings added flexibility to high-density operations, while the powerful motor ensures strong performance even at full load. A reliable backbone for large fleets, it keeps cities moving when it matters most.
