Karsan, which has initiated an extensive project with RATP, one of the most significant public transport operators in Paris, will transport passengers on the 4.5-kilometer Paris 393 bus route as of September with the 8-meter Autonomous e-ATAK. Stating that the vehicle will offer service under real urban traffic conditions, Karsan CEO Okan Baş said, "With this new project, we will take Karsan's leadership in the field of autonomous driving technologies one step further. Karsan Autonomous e-ATAK will actively provide passenger transportation services for six months following the completion of France's independent testing and certification body UTAC's tests at the end of August. The fact that a global reference operator such as RATP has preferred Autonomous e-ATAK demonstrates the level of Karsan's autonomous mobility solutions and the brand’s recognition globally."

Autonomous e-ATAK, the world's first serial production Level 4 public transport bus capable of autonomously moving on a predetermined route, is launching a vital project with RATP (Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens), one of the most significant public transport operators in Paris, France. As part of this cooperation, Karsan's 8-meter Autonomous e-ATAK vehicle will begin carrying passengers on the 4.5-kilometer Paris 393 bus route (Sucy-Bonneuil RER /Thiais-Carrefour de la Résistance) in September 2025. The bus will operate under real urban traffic conditions. Claiming that Karsan will take its pioneering role in the field of autonomous driving technologies one step further with this new project, Karsan CEO Okan Baş stated, "Our vehicle is currently being tested by UTAC (Union Technique de l'Automobile du Motocycle et du Cycle), France's independent testing and certification organization, at its facility. Tests conducted by UTAC indicate that Karsan Autonomous e-ATAK is safe, smart, and operationally ready according to international standards. These dynamic and static test processes will be in place until the end of August. After the successful completion of the tests, Autonomous e-ATAK will start to carry passengers, actively providing transportation services for six months."
